SARGODHA, Oct 24 (APP):The University of Sargodha organised the closing ceremony of two capacity-building training programs titled “Media Literacy Training Program and Awareness Campaign for Faculty and Staff” and “Enhancing Employees’ Job Performance through Professional Growth” under the supervision of the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC).
The ceremony was graced by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan as the chief guest, while Director HRDC Amjad Hussain Janjua, faculty members, and administrative staff were also present. The Pro Vice Chancellor distributed certificates among the participants of both training sessions.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan appreciated HRDC’s efforts for arranging meaningful and need-based training that enhance professional competence, ethical understanding, and institutional efficiency. He emphasized that such initiatives are essential for building a well-informed, responsible, and skilled workforce capable of addressing modern academic and administrative challenges.
Earlier, Director HRDC Amjad Hussain Janjua briefed the audience about the objectives and outcomes of the two training programs. He informed that the Media Literacy Training Program and Awareness Campaign for Faculty and Staff engaged a total of 71 participants, including 43 faculty members and 28 staff members. The sessions focused on topics such as media literacy in the digital age, ethical awareness, and the societal impact of misinformation.
He further added that the second program, Enhancing Employees’ Job Performance through Professional Growth, was attended by 44 senior clerks in two batches. The training covered university rules and policies, workplace ethics, personality development, and time management, followed by an interactive discussion and feedback session.
