UoG organizes training session on digital admission, merit-based aid

GUJRAT, Jul 07 (APP):A training session in connection with processing and verification of admission applications for Fall 2025, was held at the Hafiz Hayat Campus of the University of Gujrat (UOG) here on Monday, under the auspicious of the Department of Information Technology.
According to university spokesperson, the session focused on the newly introduced features in the online admission portal, including automatic determination of scholarship eligibility at the time of application submission.
Web Manager and session focal person Abu Al-Khair Muhammad Umar briefed the participants on the application process, noting that applicants could now select their intermediate education board while applying, enabling top-performing students from various boards to be considered for full fee waivers. He further said that special financial assistance would also be provided on merit to orphan students, transgender individuals, Hufiz-e-Quran, and those from low-income families.
The training was attended by a large number of faculty members, departmental focal persons, and chairpersons, who were given detailed awareness of the updated admission policy and portal features. The university has begun accepting online admission applications for various academic programmes, with August 15 set as the deadline.
