SUKKUR, Nov 20 (APP):The District Administration Sukkur and Sindh Child Protection Authority here on Thursday organized a walk on the occasion of Universal Children’s Day, to raise awareness about child rights, education and the elimination of child labor.
The walk was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Bushra Mansoor and Deputy Director Sindh Child Protection Authority Zubair Mahar. The participants included students, teachers, social activists, and officials from rescue organizations.
The participants held placards highlighting the importance of child rights, education, and the elimination of child labor. They emphasized the need for a safe and secure environment for children.
Speaking to the media, Bushra Mansoor said that the walk aimed to raise awareness about the fundamental rights of children and the importance of education. She added that the district administration is committed to providing education to all children, including those working in shops and workshops.
Zubair Mahar said that it was essential to educate children about their rights and responsibilities. He added that the district administration, Child Protection Authority, and education department are working together to provide a safe and secure environment for children.
The participants demanded that the government take effective measures to eliminate child labor, provide quality education, and protect children from violence.
