Unit producing artificial milk raided
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Sep 02 (APP):The district administration has raided a unit allegedly involved in the production of artificial milk at Qureshi Morr and seized prepared milk, chemicals and other materials used in its manufacture.
The raid was conducted by the Livestock Department under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner, Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq. The team recovered prepared artificial milk, raw materials, various chemicals and other equipment from the premises.
Livestock officials also examined the milk and other materials found at the site. The seized items were taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
The administration said it had adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards the production and sale of substandard and adulterated milk, stressing that strict action would be taken against those endangering public health.
The suspects will be produced before the Assistant Commissioner/Special Magistrate First Class, where proceedings will be initiated in accordance with the law.
The district administration and Livestock Department said such operations would continue across the district to ensure the availability of safe, quality and pure milk to consumers.
