LAHORE, Nov 28 (APP): The Unique Group of Institutions (UGIs) Pak-Arab Campus organised a special function titled ‘Fikr-e-Iqbal Aur Aaj Ka Naujawan’ [Iqbal’s Vision And Youth of Today] in connection with the 148th birth anniversary of the Poet of the East, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
The event was presided over by Chairman Unique Group Prof. Abdul Manan Khurram, while Member Punjab Assembly Syeda Samreen Taj attended as the chief guest. Renowned Iqbal scholar Dr Tahir Tanoli also participated as guest of honour.
Young students of the Pak-Arab Campus presented tableaus based on Iqbal’s poetry and delivered speeches highlighting his life and ideas.
Addressing the gathering, UGIs Chairman Prof. Abdul Manan said that education and character building form the core of Iqbal’s vision, which helps guide today’s youth in the right direction. He said that Iqbal’s thoughts offer practical guidance for grooming young minds at the societal level.
MPA Samreen Taj said that by following Allama Iqbal’s philosophy of ‘Khudi’ (Selfhood), the youth could secure a brighter future for Pakistan. She stressed that effective guidance was essential to steer the young generation toward positive goals, enabling them to play their role across various fields.
Project Director Pak-Arab Campus Mian Tahir Yaqoob and Iqbal scholar Dr Tahir Tanoli also expressed their views on Iqbal’s philosophy.
The event was attended by Principal Pak-Arab Campus Saira Nazar, Rector Unique Group Prof Amjad Ali Khan, Vice Chairman Afif Ashraf Siddiqi, Director Prof Waseem Anwar Chaudhry, Additional Director Muhammad Abdullah, teachers, and a large number of students.
