MULTAN, Jul 18 (APP):Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) South Punjab, Fawad Hashim Rabbani commended Ulema’s role in fostering peace and tolerance during Muharram.
In a statement issued here Thursday, ACS said Ashura Day processions across the Southern region were concluded peacefully.
He expressed gratitude to the administration and police for their exemplary arrangements, highlighting effective coordination amongst all stakeholders. ACS has monitored security arrangements along with Additional IG Police South Punjab, Muhammad Kamran here on Ashura Day.
They monitored procession routes via live streaming from the DC office here and met with peace committee members and Ulema.
Additional IG Police Muhammad Kamran Khan praised the police officers and personnel for their diligent performance in the hot weather.
