PESHAWAR, Jul 26 (APP):The University of Agriculture, Peshawar has taken a landmark step towards financial sustainability with the launch of its first-ever 5-Year Business and Finance Plan.
The plan was formally presented by Treasurer Dr Abdul Salam and his team to Vice Chancellor Professor Emeritus Dr Jehan Bakht and Registrar Dr Rizwan Ahmad.
Covering the fiscal years up to 2029–30, the comprehensive plan sets out strategic financial goals aimed at achieving long-term stability and enhancing the university’s operational efficiency.
This initiative marks a significant move in aligning the university’s financial planning with its academic and research objectives.
Vice Chancellor Dr Jehan Bakht and Registrar Rizwan Ahmad lauded the efforts of the Directorate of Finance, noting that such forward-thinking initiatives are crucial to building a brighter future for the university.
They emphasized the collective responsibility of faculty and staff to transform the institution into a regional leader in finance, education, and research.
Present at the occasion were Director of Internal Audit Mujahid-ud-Din, Assistant Treasurers Gohar Ali and Kifayat Khattak, who also played a key role in shaping the plan.
The newly launched financial roadmap is expected to serve as a guiding document for future policy and decision-making, ensuring the university’s continued growth and excellence in the years to come.
