DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 11 (APP):Gaddai Police arrested two suspected robbers after an exchange of fire near Chit Road railway crossing on Wednesday. According to police, the suspects had allegedly snatched a CD-70 motorcycle from a citizen and were trying to escape when police intercepted them.
Police said the men opened fire on the police party, after which police returned fire in self-defense. During the crossfire, two suspects were injured and taken into custody, while their accomplices managed to flee.
The arrested suspects were identified as Ali Ahmed, resident of Bannu, and Naveed alias Sheena, Masood Pathan, resident of Karachi. The snatched CD-70 motorcycle was recovered.
Police stated that a search operation has been launched to arrest the remaining suspects. District Police Officer DG Khan Sadiq Baloch appreciated the Gaddai Police team and said that action against criminal elements will continue.
