BUREWALA, Jul 10 (APP): Two robbers were killed in an alleged police encounter after they snatched cash from a citizen in Burewala on Wednesday here.
According to the police, a group of six armed robbers stole cash from a citizen in the Machiwal area and then escaped.
The police from the Saddar police station chased the dacoits and set up a barricade near the rural village 16/WB to stop them.
The robbers then hid in the crops and opened fire on the police.
In the exchange of fire, two of the robbers were killed while their other accomplices managed to flee on a motorcycle while shooting at the police.
The police have seized two pistols and three motorcycles belonging to the robbers.
The two deceased robbers have been identified as Farhan and Samir Baloch.
