Two robbers held after encounter

MULTAN, Sep 26 (APP):Two bandits were booked for looting money worth Rs. 500,000 in the past, and were arrested in injured condition after an encounter, police said.
As per details, police received a phone call at 2:00 a.m. as four bandits snatched money worth Rs. 25000 with a mobile phone from a passerby before escaping to an unknown location. Upon information, Gulghast police station constituted a team that cordoned off the area and started checking by holding pickets.
When the police stopped a convoy of four motorbikes, one of the riders opened fire. In retaliation, the two suspected accused got injured by police while their fellows fled the scene. Police further extended the peg of checking to arrest the fleeing accomplices but in vain.
The arrested burgers were identified as Mohammed Bilal, son of Yaqoob, resident of Bihari, and Mohammad Asif, son of Barley, resident of Mati Tal.
Police claimed to have recovered two bags stuffed with three million rupees and Rs. 25,000 each with two pistols and as many mobile phones from their possession.
The held criminals were stated to be involved in dacoity, kidnap, and theft-like crimes in the city.
Gulghast police station registered a case with further investigation is underway.
