Dera Ismail Khan , Nov 16 (APP): Three persons were killed while several others narrowly escaped in three separate incidents of firing and a road mishap reported from different areas of the district, police said.
In the first incident, one man was shot dead and his brother survived when three suspects, including a father and son, allegedly opened fire on them in Wanda Talgi.
According to FIR lodged at Police Station Shaheed Nawab, complainant Ghulam Rasool stated that he and his brother Gul Rasool were operating a tractor owned by Zahidullah when the accused Hamidullah, Riazullah and an unidentified accomplice attacked them due to an ongoing feud with the tractor owner. Gul Rasool died of gunshot wounds while the complainant remained unhurt. Police have registered a case and launched investigation.
In another case, a 16-year-old youth was killed in a road accident on Dera Bypass Road within the limits of Police Station Dera Town. The victim, identified as Abbas of Jhang, was working as a helper on a trailer transporting cement to Faisalabad from Lakki Cement Factory. He was standing beside the halted vehicle at Daraban Bypass Chowk when a speeding truck hit him, resulting in his death on the spot.
In a separate firing incident on Link Road Miran, one man was shot dead while three others narrowly escaped. Tariq Baloch told Police Station Parova that he found the body of his brother, Abdul Wahab, lying in fields after receiving information about an attack. Witnesses reported that they had been having tea near Miran Adda when accused Khalil Bhatti allegedly called one of them and later opened fire as they arrived at the location on a motorcycle. Abdul Wahab died instantly, while the remaining three survived unharmed. Police have registered a case and begun search for the suspect.
Police in all three cases have initiated further investigation.
