MUZAFFARGARH , Jan 09 (APP):Two young men were killed and two others sustained serious injuries when a wood-loaded tractor-trolley hit two motorcycles on MM Road near Dhori Adda in Layyah district.
According to Rescue sources, the accident occurred when a tractor-trolley carrying timber, moving on the wrong side of the road, rammed into two motorcycles. As a result, two motorcyclists died instantly while two others were seriously injured.
The deceased were identified as Rashid, son of Mushtaq, and Haji Gul Khan, son of Abdullah Khan, both residents of Chak No. 419 TDA. The injured were identified as Adnan, resident of Chak No. 457 TDA, and Rajab Ali, son of Khadim, resident of Chak No. 458 TDA.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot promptly and shifted the injured and the bodies to Rural Health Centre, Dhori Adda.
The tractor-trolley driver managed to flee the scene after the accident. Police reached the site and initiated legal proceedings.
Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred due to the tractor-trolley being driven on the wrong side of the road.
