DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jul 28 (APP):A deadly armed robbery took place here outside Laghari Gate on Monday where three unidentified assailants opened fire on Khadim Ghee Agency during a dacoity attempt, leaving two men dead and two others injured.
According to police, the armed robbers came on motorcycles at the shop of Rana Muhammad Aslam, a dealer of Khadim Ghee and a member of the Cantonment Reconciliation Committee. Upon resistance, the suspects opened indiscriminate firing. The gunfire left four people seriously wounded, including shop owner Rana Muhammad Aslam (resident of New Bannu Chungi), agency employee Malik Muhammad Javed (resident of Thaheemabad), 42-year-old Ikramullah (resident of Islamiya Colony), and another unidentified person.
All the injured were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where Rana Aslam and Malik Javed succumbed to their injuries.
The suspects managed to flee the scene after the attack. The police reached the spot promptly and have launched an investigation.
