RAWALPINDI, Jul 01 (APP): At least, two people were killed and eight others, including women and children, were injured in separate incidents of gas cylinder explosion and electrocution in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
According to Rescue 1122, a fire broke out in a house on Range Road due to a gas cylinder blast early in the morning.
Seven people, including women and children, suffered burn injuries.
The injured were identified as 35-years-old Atiqa, 36-years Javeria, 4-years Haya, 6-years Fatima, 40-years-Shiraz, 4-years Adnan and 6-years Aira.
Rescue teams responded quickly and shifted all of them to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) for treatment.
In another tragic incident, a lawyer named Ansar and a laborer died of electrocution near High Court Chowk on Bostan Khan Road.
They were installing a signboard for a law office when it accidentally touched high-voltage wires.
Both died on the spot, while a young man was injured and shifted to the hospital.
Police from the concerned stations reached the scenes of both incidents, collected evidence and began legal proceedings.
