RAWALPINDI, Oct 30 (APP):The Dhamial Police on Thursday arrested two kite suppliers from different areas and recovered a large consignment of kites during operations against the illegal kite trade.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesman, a total of 5,000 kites along with 10 spools of string were seized from the possession of the arrested individuals, and separate cases have been registered against them.
Superintendent of Police Saddar Muhammad Nabeel Khokhar said that kite flying had been declared a non-bailable offence and warned that those involved in this deadly pastime would not escape the law.
He reaffirmed that the Rawalpindi Police were determined to continue strict action against kite sellers and flyers to safeguard precious human lives.
