LAHORE, Feb 26 (APP):Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone arrested two alleged human smugglers involved in migrant smuggling and visa fraud during an ongoing crackdown against organized networks.
According to an FIA spokesperson here on Thursday, the arrested suspects were identified as Ghazanfar Ali and Muhammad Samiullah, apprehended from different areas of Lahore and Mianwali.
The spokesperson said the accused had allegedly defrauded citizens of over Rs 3.6 million by promising work visas for the United Kingdom, Ireland and Myanmar. However, they failed to send the victims abroad and later went into hiding.
The arrested suspects were taken into custody and further investigation was initiated.
