Two held for kidnapping, torturing youngster
KHANEWAL, Sep 13 (APP):City Khanewal police have arrested two nominated suspects for allegedly kidnapping a young man and subjecting him to brutal torture at a private place following a dispute over motorcycle parking.
Taking strict notice of the incident, DPO Muhammad Abid directed immediate arrest of all those involved. Acting on a citizen’s complaint, City Khanewal police registered a case and launched an investigation.
SHO City Khanewal Inspector Raja Usman, along with his team, arrested two nominated suspects, identified as Rafey Gujjar and Fazal Gujjar.
According to the complaint, the victim was forcibly abducted and taken to a private place in 88/10-R, where he was allegedly beaten with sticks and other blunt objects. The suspects also allegedly recorded a video of the torture.
The complainant further alleged that the accused snatched the victim’s mobile phone, cash and gold chain.
According to the initial information, the incident stemmed from a heated argument between the victim and the suspects two days earlier over the parking of a motorcycle.
Police teams are conducting raids at different locations to arrest the remaining suspects, police sources added.
DPO Muhammad Abid said strict and indiscriminate action would be taken against elements taking the law into their own hands. He said all legal requirements would be fulfilled to ensure justice for the victim and bring the accused to justice.
