DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 19 (APP): The Dera police have arrested two outlaws including an absconder recovering drugs, cache of arms and ammunition from their possession during different operation conducted on Monday.
According to police spokesman, a team of Yarik police station led by SHO Faheem Mumtaz, taking action on a tip off, created a blockade near Football ground on Giloti-Takwara road. The police stopped a suspected motorcyclist coming from Takwara area to Giloti for checking. During the checking, the police recovered a Kalashnikov along with five cartridges and a pistol along with 15 cartridges from his possession. The accused was already wanted to police in a case registered with the police on July 20, 2024.
Similarly, a team of Cantt police led by SDPO City Circle Muhammad Adnan along with SHO Sibtain Hussain, taking action against criminal elements, arrested accused Sufiyan son of Gul Rehman. The police also recovered 450 grams of hashish from the accused, who was wanted to police in multiple cases.
