RAWALPINDI, Jul 29 (APP):A local court has sentenced two drug suppliers to a combined total of 18 years in prison and imposed fines of Rs. 160,000.0. The convicted individuals, Parvez and Gul Khan, were found guilty of drug trafficking.
According to the details, Parvez was sentenced to 9 years in prison and fined Rs.80,000.0 after Gujar Khan Police arrested him in September 2024 for possessing 2.5 Kg of hashish.
Similarly, Gul Khan received a 9-year sentence and a Rs.80,000.0 fine following his arrest by Mandhra Police in November 2023 for possessing 1.5Kg of hashish.
The convictions were secured due to solid evidence and effective prosecution by the police. City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani commended the investigative and legal teams for their efforts. He reiterated that all necessary measures are being taken to eradicate the menace of drugs in the region.
