RAWALPINDI, Nov 07 (APP): Two local courts have sentenced two drug suppliers to nine years’ imprisonment each, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Friday.
He stated that accused Muhammad Shahbaz was sentenced to nine years in jail and fined Rs80,000. He had been arrested in July 2025 by Saddar Bairooni Police after 1.63 kilograms of hashish were recovered from him.
Another convict, Fazal Rabi, was also sentenced to nine years in jail and fined Rs80,000. He had been taken into custody in January 2025 by Taxila Police following the recovery of 1.54 kilograms of hashish.
City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani praised the SSP Investigation and the investigative and legal teams for their efforts, adding that all possible measures were being taken to eliminate the scourge of narcotics.
