BAHAWALPUR, Jun 01 (APP):Two bogies of Pakistan Express 45-Up derailed between Kalanch Wala and Mubarakpur railway stations, some 15 kilometers away from here
on Sunday.
According to Railways sources, the train was en-route to Rawalpindi from Karachi when its two bogies including Air Condition Standard and a Dining Car derailed due to technical fault. However, no loss of life was reported.
The train operation on Lahore-Karachi track had been halted due to
rescue operation.
Other trains coming from Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore had been stopped at Liaquatpur, Dera Nawab, Sama Satta and Bahawalpur railway stations.
Necessary machinery had reached the scene to clear the railway track and hopefully, the trains operation would soon be restored, they added.
