RAJANPUR, Oct 24 (APP):A grand police operation was launched in the Katcha area to recover hostages from the captivity of dacoits, police said on Friday.
During the operation, police successfully recovered two abducted brothers, Qasim and Muhammad Irfan, from dacoits.
According to DPO Farooq Amjad, dacoits had kidnapped the brothers two days ago and were demanding a heavy ransom for their release.
An exchange of fire took place between the police and the dacoits, after which the criminals managed to escape.
The DPO said that police were chasing the fleeing dacoits and they would be arrested soon.
