LAHORE, Nov 03 (APP):A tragic accident occurred on Monday near MO College in Lahore when a truck loaded with bottles overturned onto a rickshaw, resulting in the deaths of four people, including two women.
According to rescue officials, the victims’ bodies were transported to Mayo Hospital. At the time of the accident, there were eight people in the rickshaw. Two others were injured and also taken to the hospital, while two children miraculously survived the crash and were safely handed over to the police.
The deceased have been identified as 67-year-old Shafiq, his wife Shabana, aged 60, their son Sajid, 35, and his wife Iqra, 32.
The surviving children were later handed over to law enforcement authorities, and the police have taken the rickshaw driver into custody. An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the accident.
Rescue teams arrived quickly at the scene, and the authorities have assured that all necessary steps will be taken to provide support to the affected families.
