SUKKUR, Nov 06 (APP): On the occasion of Jammu Martyrs’ Day, prominent political and social leader Syed Shafqat Ali Shah paid tribute to the brave men and women who laid down their lives in the struggle for freedom on November 6, 1947.
In a statement, he said that the Muslims of Jammu made an indelible mark in history with their supreme sacrifice.
Syed Shafqat Ali Shah condemned the massacre of millions of Muslims at the hands of Dogra rule and extremists, terming it a dark chapter in human history. He emphasized that the struggle for freedom and rights of the Kashmiri people would never be silenced.
The leader reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Kashmir, saying that the country would continue to provide political, moral, and diplomatic support to their just cause.
He urged the international community to take notice of the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and to play its part in bringing an end to the suffering of the Kashmiri people.
