QUETTA, Jul 03 (APP):Training of Election Commission (EC) and National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) officers on reducing the gap between men and women voters in eight districts of Balochistan was held at the Provincial Election Commissioner’s Office, Quetta on Thursday.
While addressing at the meeting, Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial said that in order to reduce the gap between men and women in voter registration, it is necessary to make identity cards for as many women as possible.
In this regard, the GIS Wing of the Election Commission has prepared a plan called INVR-5 under which work would be done in eight districts of Balochistan under a special strategy.
He said that for practical implementation of this plan, the Election Commission and NADRA, as well as local CSs and political parties, all schools of thought would have to work under a strategy so that the gap between men and women could be eliminated.
The Provincial Election Commissioner gave special instructions to the District Election Commissioners of Chaman and Qila Abdullah to work under the best strategy at their level.
