NARAN, Jul 22 (APP):Traffic on the Naran-Babusar Top Highway in Kaghan Valley Tuesday has been fully restored after heavy landslides blocked the road in the Jalkhad and Besar areas.
According to officials, the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) and the National Highway Authority (NHA) deployed heavy machinery and launched a 17-hour-long operation to clear the debris. The landslides had left dozens of tourist vehicles stranded, causing major disruption.
The local administration, along with KDA, shifted the stranded tourists to nearby hotels, where they received support and hospitality from local residents and hotel owners.
By early morning, all stranded vehicles were safely evacuated via an alternate route, and the tourists trapped in the affected areas were successfully transported to Naran.
Authorities have advised travelers to stay updated on weather conditions before planning trips to the region.
