RAWALPINDI, Oct 03 (APP):Despite intermittent rain in different parts of the city on Friday, traffic flow on the roads of Rawalpindi remained smooth owing to timely arrangements made by the City Traffic Police (CTP).
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam directed supervisory officers to remain active in the field and ensure the deployment of additional wardens under underpasses. He said the wardens should be seen helping citizens during rainfall.
The CTO instructed all officers to work diligently to keep traffic moving, maintain close coordination with the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), and immediately inform the relevant departments if water accumulated anywhere.
He further said wardens must respond promptly to public calls for assistance and ensure that no traffic issues arose during rainfall.
Farhan Aslam also advised motorists to reduce speed during showers and directed wardens as well as the public to stay away from electrical installations during wet weather.
