RAWALPINDI, Jul 28 (APP):Quality investigation forms the bedrock of successful prosecution, making seamless coordination between the police and prosecution departments vital for the timely delivery of justice, District Public Prosecutor (DPP) Rawalpindi Mian Imran Rahim said on Tuesday.
Chairing a review meeting on under-investigation and pending court cases along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Raja Nasir and Deputy District Public Prosecutor Rehman Shaukat Bhatti, Mian Imran Rahim directed investigating officers to complete inquiries without delay and submit thorough, high-quality challans within statutory deadlines to prevent judicial delays.
The meeting conducted a comprehensive review of pending cases, with a specific focus on rectifying procedural gaps in drug-related offenses and cases registered under the Anti-Rape Act.
Participants agreed to strengthen institutional synergy, establish regular case review sessions and hold joint training workshops to elevate investigative standards.
