RAWALPINDI, Nov 29 (APP): The Rawalpindi Police on Saturday implemented comprehensive security and traffic arrangements for the T20 Tri-Series final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, a police spokesman said.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani and other senior officers remained on-site to supervise all arrangements. Over 5,500 police personnel were deployed for security duties, while more than 350 traffic officers managed traffic flow around the stadium.
The spokesman said senior officers conducted field inspections and briefed personnel on duty. Snipers were positioned on rooftops, and a separate control room was established to monitor CCTV feeds. Mobile, Elite and Dolphin squad teams patrolled the areas surrounding the stadium.
CPO Hamdani said all measures were taken to ensure foolproof security and smooth traffic management for the high-profile final match.
