KOHAT, Jul 30 (APP):The Shakardara Police arrested three-member robbers’ gang for snatching Rs 7.5 million at gunpoint in a successful operation based on scientific techniques, SP Saddar Sanobar Khan said on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference, he said that some unidentified persons looted Rs 7.5 million form Tanveer Anjum at gunpoint on July 12, 2025 under limits of Shakardara police station and fled away.
Taking strict notice of the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Zahidullah immediately
issued orders for arresting the accused, he added.
DSP Shakardara Sajjad Haider and SHO Shakardara Irfan Khan, along with
the police personnel, worked day and night and as a result of the investigation conducted on modern technical grounds, three accused Qasim , Adil and Mahmood residents of Shakardara had been arrested, he highlighted.
The weapons used in the incident including 2 Kalashnikovs and one pistol , and two
motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the accused, the SP added
Similarly, Rs 5.6 million stolen money, a valuable Honda motorcycle and an iPhone
were recovered from the accused’ custody.
An accomplice of the arrested accused namely Asim is still at large and the police teams are actively working to arrest him.
The arrested accused had been transferred to Shakardara Police Station and legal action had been initiated, the SP said.
Sanobar Khan said that effective actions would continue against the criminal elements across the district under the zero tolerance policy.
