RAWALPINDI, Oct 21 (APP):A three-member gang involved in multiple cases of street crimes, motorcycle theft, and other criminal activities were arrested during an operation, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
Police also recovered a stolen motorcycle, Rs5,500 in cash, and two pistols with ammunition used in the crimes.
According to police, the suspects were active in different parts of Rawalpindi and had been depriving citizens of their valuables, including motorcycles and cash snatching.
Police used intelligence and human sources to trace the gang involved in a series of thefts and robberies targeting local residents.
Police have registered separate cases against the arrested individuals, and further investigation is underway to trace their criminal network.
SP Potohar Talha Wali appreciated the efforts of the police team for their timely action.
He said the arrested suspects would be presented in the court with solid evidence to ensure conviction under the law.
He added that the police are fully committed to protecting citizens’ lives and property and will continue operations against street criminals to maintain peace and security in the city.
