Three food outlets fined

SARGODHA, Jun 21 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Saturday intensified its operations against the adulteration mafia in Sargodha, taking strict action against violators of food safety laws.
During an inspection at a milk and yogurt shop located at Sherpao Chowk, officials collected milk samples which later failed laboratory testing.Based on the test report confirming adulteration,a formal case was registered at the local police station.
According to the PFA spokesperson,the milk was found to be adulterated with harmful substances, posing serious health risks to the public.
In a separate operation,three food outlets were fined a total of Rs 110,000 for various violations including selling substandard soda water,using unhygienic cooking oil, and distributing poor-quality milk.
Furthermore,100 liters of substandard soda water were seized and safely discarded during the operation.
The PFA has reiterated its commitment to ensuring food safety and warned that strict penalties will continue against those who violate health standards.
