RAWALPINDI, Dec 17 (APP): Rawlapindi courts have convicted three drug paddlers, awarding them a combined 38 years and 6 months imprisonment along with fines amounting to Rs 970,000.0
According to the details, the heaviest sentence was granted to M. Shabbir, who received 20 years in prison and a fine of Rs 800,000.0 He was arrested by Pirwadhai Police in February 2025 after 13.20 Kg of charas (hashish) were recovered from his possession.
Shah Fahad was sentenced to 09 years and 6 months imprisonment with a Rs 90,000.0 fine. Pirwadhai Police had apprehended him in October 2023 following the recovery of 1 Kg and 420 grams of charas.
Umar Yasin received 09 years in prison and a fine of Rs 80,000.0. He was arrested by Dhamyal Police in May 2025 after 1Kg and 600 grams of charas were seized from him.
City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani commended the SSP Investigation and the investigation and legal teams for their performance. He reiterated that all possible measures are being taken to eradicate the menace of drugs from society.
