KHANEWAL, Jan 27 (APP):A teenager lost his life after being struck by the Karachi Express while attempting to cross a railway track,here on Tuesday.
According to Rescue 1122 officials,The incident occurred when Dawood a r/o Basti Ahmednagar,while crossing the track,was hit by the train traveling from Karachi to Lahore.
While no immediate evidence of negligence was found on the part of the victim,local residents raised concerns over the lack of proper pedestrian monitoring at the busy railway line,which runs through a densely populated area.
The body was shifted to DHQ Hospital for medico-legal procedures and police have initiated formal proceedings to hand over the body to the family.
An investigation into the cause of the accident was ongoing.
