WAH CANTT, Feb 9 (APP): The University of Wah on Monday hosted TEDx University of Wah, bringing together students, academics, professionals and industry representatives for a day-long exchange of ideas under the globally recognised TEDx platform. The event highlighted innovation, critical thinking, and youth leadership, fostering a vibrant environment for intellectual discourse.
Organised by the Department of Computer Science, the event was conducted under an official TEDx licence issued to Mr. Saim, a Computer Science student who served as the main organiser, while Mr. Shaheer acted as co-organiser. Around 300 participants attended, including 250 general participants and 50 invited guests, reflecting growing engagement between academia and industry.
Notable attendees included representatives from Wah Industrial Limited, Wah Nobel Group, Positive Solutions, and 4P Group. Organisers said the forum aimed to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry and society, while encouraging the free exchange of ideas, innovative thinking, and youth-led solutions to contemporary challenges.
Speaking at the event, organisers emphasised that platforms like TEDx not only cultivate creativity and dialogue but also empower students to become forward-thinking leaders, capable of contributing meaningfully to both local and global communities.
