SUKKUR, Oct 15 (APP):The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on Wednesday hosted a seminar on managing Aflatoxin and Maximum Residue Level (MRL) in rice products at district Shikarpur, a major basmati rice-producing hub in Sindh.
The seminar aimed to educate stakeholders, including growers, millers, and exporters, on adopting best practices to enhance product quality and minimize export rejections due to contamination or non-compliance. Experts shared insights on controlling aflatoxin contamination and ensuring adherence to MRL standards.
The Director General of TDAP reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s rice export sector through capacity-building initiatives and collaboration with institutions.
He emphasized the importance of sustained efforts in food safety management to enhance Pakistan’s competitiveness in global agricultural trade.
The seminar is part of TDAP’s ongoing efforts to promote compliance with international food safety and quality standards among stakeholders in Sindh’s major rice-producing regions.
