TALAGANG, Jan 10 (APP):Government healthcare facilities in Talagang continued to shoulder a heavy patient load throughout 2025, reflecting strong public reliance on state-run medical institutions, according to official health records released by hospital administrations.
Data shows that THQ Hospital Talagang treated over 19,000 patients in December alone. The Outpatient Department registered 8,962 visits, while 2,695 patients were handled by the Emergency Department. Additionally, 423 patients were admitted for indoor treatment, indicating the hospital’s capability to manage serious and complex medical cases.
The hospital also witnessed extensive use of diagnostic and specialized services, with 2,000 ENT cases, 1,073 gynecology patients, and 884 dental cases treated. Diagnostic facilities conducted 781 X-rays, 598 ultrasounds, and 221 ECGs, while 73 critically ill patients received care in ICU and dialysis units. Moreover, 49 medico-legal cases were handled, one post-mortem examination was conducted, and 34 patients were referred to tertiary hospitals in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Government City Hospital Talagang’s Annual Performance Report 2025 revealed an even broader service footprint, with 135,867 OPD visits, 149,083 emergency cases, and 11,195 indoor admissions, including 6,697 patients treated under the Health Card Scheme. Health officials said the sustained high patient turnout underscores the vital role of government hospitals, crediting improved infrastructure, expanded diagnostic facilities, and government-backed healthcare initiatives, while hospital administrations reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing service quality and capacity.
