SWCON holds BS Nursing orientation ceremony

LAHORE, Feb 09 (APP): Fatima Memorial Hospital (FMH) Saida Waheed College of Nursing (SWCON) organized the orientation ceremony for the BS Nursing Program (4-year) 2026 for both morning and evening sessions, here on Monday.
The event warmly welcomed newly admitted nursing students into the profession.
According to FMH’s spokesperson, the ceremony was attended by senior officials and distinguished guests, including Shahima Tariq Rehman, Chairperson of NUR–Fatima Memorial System; Prof. Dr. Tayyab Abbas, Principal, School of Health Sciences, NUR-FMS; Farzana Iqbal, Controller, Nursing Examination Board Punjab, who was the Chief Guest; Prof. Misbah Zafar, Director Academic Nursing, SWCON; and Mansoor Jamal Butt, Group Head Operations, FMH.
Speakers highlighted the legacy of the Fatima Memorial System and its commitment to excellence in healthcare and education. They emphasized the vital role of nurses as compassionate caregivers and leaders, stressing professionalism, ethical practice, lifelong learning, and patient-centered care as core values.
New students were introduced to the academic framework, institutional culture, and expectations of the BS Nursing program. The orientation aimed to inspire students to uphold the dignity, responsibility, and service ethos of the nursing profession.
