SARGODHA, Dec 10 (APP):In solidarity with the global campaign, a special awareness programme was organized as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
The event was hosted by the Sargodha Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SWCCI) to highlight the issue of violence against women and to promote a culture of
safety, equality, and empowerment.
University of Sargodha IRA department Chairperson Dr Musarrat Jabeen, SWCCI founder president Shamim Aftab, President Sameera Harirah, Vice President Adeelah Aslam and executive members, including Sughra Alam, Rubina Mukhtar, Shazia Noreen Bangash,Qaisra Ismail and Abida Nazar were also present.
On the occasion, renowned gynecologist Dr Humaira Azhar delivered an insightful talk on women’s physical and mental health.
Musarrat Jabeen stressed the need for collective efforts to end violence against women and to build an equitable and safe society.
The speakers highlighted that the 16-day global campaign sends a powerful message for
the protection, dignity, and empowerment of women.
