Suthra Punjab Agency intensifies cleanliness, anti-smog and anti-dengue activities

RAWALPINDI, Sep 10 (APP):Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency Rawalpindi Rana Sajid Safdar on Wednesday visited Sirajia Park on Saidpur Road, UC-15 and Morgah to review ongoing cleanliness operations in the city.
During the visit, the MD inspected workers’ attendance, fleet operations and other operational matters. He also interacted with sanitation workers and citizens to obtain information about the cleanliness standards and issues being faced in the field.
Manager Operations District Rawalpindi Aamir Younis Naik, Manager Operations City Syed Hassan Sardar and other operational staff were also present. They briefed the MD on ongoing cleanliness operations and measures being taken to control smog and dengue, besides field activities.
Rana Sajid Safdar directed that the cleanliness standard across the city be further improved, workers’ attendance and fleet operations be made more effective and all available resources be utilized to provide citizens with a clean and healthy environment.
He appreciated the services of sanitation workers and urged citizens to extend full cooperation in maintaining cleanliness.
Meanwhile, Suthra Punjab Agency Rawalpindi is continuing its public awareness campaign against smog and dengue across the city.
Members of the agency’s communication team visited Liaquat Road Market and a school at Haroon Chowk, Kuri Road, where they interacted with citizens, shopkeepers and students and sensitized them about the importance of cleanliness, its positive impact on public health and prevention of diseases caused by unhygienic conditions.
The team also briefed students and citizens about precautionary measures against smog and dengue, maintaining cleanliness and the Suthra Punjab helpline 1139. Informative pamphlets were also distributed among the participants.
The communication team urged citizens and students to maintain cleanliness in their homes, streets, markets and around educational institutions, avoid throwing waste in the open and adopt precautionary measures to prevent smog and dengue.
The citizens appreciated the cleanliness and awareness activities of the Suthra Punjab Agency and expressed their resolve to continue extending cooperation.
