RAWALPINDI, Jul 09 (APP):Police have successfully apprehended a suspect who faces extortion charges for allegedly demanding Rs. 20 million from a citizen.
The suspect, identified as Bilal, reportedly made the extortion demand along with an accomplice, posing threats to the citizen’s life. Upon receiving a complaint from the citizen, Westridge Police swiftly registered a case and took Bilal into custody.
The SHO confirmed that efforts are underway to arrest Bilal’s accomplice.
SP Potohar Nasir Nawaz praised the Westridge Police for their quick response in apprehending Bilal, underscoring their commitment to safeguarding citizens’ lives and property.
He assured that all legal procedures will be meticulously followed to ensure the accused face justice for their actions.
