SUKKUR, Oct 23 (APP):On the directives of Deputy Commissioner, Sukkur Nadir Shahzad Khan, Assistant Commissioner Wasim Mahar on Thursday conducted a surprise raid on a warehouse in the industrial area of New Sukkur.
During the raid, a large quantity of biscuits and potato chips were found stored in the warehouse.
Upon detailed inspection, it was revealed that over 38,000 packets of biscuits had exceeded their expiry date and were ready for sale or distribution.
Assistant Commissioner ordered the immediate destruction of all substandard and expired goods and sealed the warehouse to prevent any potential illegal business or harm to public health.
The action was taken to protect consumers from potential health hazards.
