SUKKUR, Jun 26 (APP):The Sukkur police on Thursday thwarted a robbery attempt and arrested two armed robbers, who sustained injuries during the exchange of fire.
The incident occurred near the CPEC Interchange in the jurisdiction of Patni police station.
During a routine patrol, the police encountered the robbers, who were attempting to commit a crime. In the ensuing gunfire, two robbers were injured and apprehended. The arrested robbers were identified as Imam Bakhsh Laghari and Fida Hussain Laghari.
The police recovered two TT pistols, bullets, and a stolen motorcycle from the possession of the injured robbers. The arrested robbers were wanted in multiple serious cases, including snatching, theft, robbery, and police encounters.
The injured robbers were shifted to a hospital for treatment. Further investigation is underway to gather more information about their criminal records. SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan congratulated the police team on their bravery and announced a reward and appreciation certificate.
