SUKKUR, Mar 02 (APP):In light of the tragic incident in Iran, the Sukkur Hindu Panchayat on Monday announced the cancellation of all Holi celebrations across the Sukkur district.
In a joint statement, Panchayat leaders Mukhi Ishwar Lal Makhija and Chander Bhan Bakhtiarpuri said that given the current circumstances, it is our collective responsibility to prioritize humanity, peace, solidarity, and compassion. While festive occasions hold importance, demonstrating seriousness and a sense of responsibility during difficult times is even more essential.
They urged all community members and residents of Sukkur to respect this decision and spread messages of peace, brotherhood, and unity.
