SUKKUR, Nov 09 (APP): In a bid to tighten office discipline and curb absenteeism, Municipal Commissioner Sukkur, Ali Raza Ansari issued a circular days ago directing all department heads to enforce punctuality and attendance among staff and lead by example.
A three member vigilance committee was formed, comprising Office Superintendent Islamuddin Sheikh, Admin Officer (UT) Ali Nasir Adnan, and Assistant Muhammad Kashif Malik. The team has begun surprise inspections of branches.
On Sunday, inspectors visited the Market Office, dispensaries, and drainage stations, issuing verbal warnings to absent staff and stressing full compliance. They targeted waterworks, Meani, Maka drainage, the fire brigade, and Mir Masoom Shah Library. Attendance saw improvement.
Department heads were urged to monitor staff rigorously and boost performance, ensuring uninterrupted services for citizens. The committee warned that future inspections will trigger strict action against absentees and shirkers.
