SU takes out rally on Kashmir Black Day to express solidarity with oppressed people of Kashmir

HYDERABAD, Oct 27 (APP):The University of Sindh, Jamshoro on Monday organized a Kashmir Black Day rally under the auspices of the Bureau of STAGS to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir.
According to the SU spokesperson, the rally was led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari and started from the Arts Faculty Building. It passed through various roads of the campus and culminated in front of the Central Library, where it turned into a demonstration.
A large number of teachers, officers and students participated in the rally while raising slogans against Indian aggression and calling for the right to self-determination for Kashmiris.
Addressing the participants, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari said that the Kashmir issue was fundamentally a human rights matter that demanded global attention and justice.
He said that the people of Kashmir had been facing severe oppression and military suppression for decades, yet their courage had remained unshaken.  He stated that peace in South Asia couldn’t be established until the Kashmir dispute was resolved according to the United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He said that Pakistan had always extended political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Kashmir and will continue to do so.  He said the University of Sindh will keep organizing awareness and solidarity activities regarding Kashmir.
The rally was addressed by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah, Registrar Professor Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jariko and others.
Among others, Dr Nanak Ram, Dr Muhammad Khan Sangi, Dr Imanuddin Khoso, Dr. Javed Chandio, Dr. Shabana Tunio, Dr. Naheed Kaka, Dr. Ambreen Khaskheli, Dr. Mubarak Lashari, Dr Abdul Sami Shaikh and many faculty members were present along with a large number of students who participated actively in the rally.
