HYDERABAD, Dec 30 (APP): Sindh University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari distributed scholarship cheques worth a total of Rs 456,650 among 14 students belonging to different batches here on Tuesday.
According to the SU spokesperson Nadir Ali Mugheri, the scholarship distribution ceremony was held at the VC Office, where Vice-Chancellor Dr Fateh Muhammad Mari handed over the cheques to the deserving male and female students.
On the occasion, the focal person of the welfare organization, Al-Kausar Intzar Mehdi, Director Students’ Financial Aid Office, Mian Ahmed Alam Pasha and Rafay Memon were also present. During the ceremony, cheques ranging from a minimum of Rs 14,350 to a maximum of Rs 80,000 were awarded to the students.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Dr Fateh Muhammad Mari said that supporting financially deserving and talented students was one of the university’s top priorities and such scholarships played a vital role in enabling students to continue their education.
He appreciated the cooperation of the welfare organization Al-Kausar and Idara-e-Khudi and stated that such support from social organizations helped secure the future of many students.
