PESHAWAR, Jul 24 (APP):Under the vision and guidance of the Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Babar Saleem Swati, a successful series of study tours is going on at the Assembly to educate the youth about the parliamentary system, legislative process and democratic values.
In recent days, two educational delegations visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. The first group consisted of youth from Charsadda under the umbrella of the Youth Alliance for Peace and Development, while the second delegation included LLB students visiting with the support of Syed and Syed Law Associates.
On the special instructions of the Speaker, the Assembly Secretariat made comprehensive arrangements for the tours. Special Secretary (Administration), Syed Waqar Shah, delivered a detailed briefing to the students, introducing them to various departments of the Assembly and their roles in the parliamentary process.
Assistant Secretary, Saifullah Khan, also accompanied the Special Secretary and guided the delegations through key areas including the Session Hall, galleries, and members’ chambers.
The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where the students asked insightful questions related to national and parliamentary affairs, and Syed Waqar Shah provided detailed responses.
Speaking on this occasion, Speaker Babar Saleem Swati said that it is essential to make parliamentary institutions accessible and understandable for our youth. The KP Assembly is not only a centre of legislation but also a learning platform where young people can understand how democracy functions.
“We want our youth to not only observe but also participate in this process and contribute positively to national development,” added the Speaker.
