RAWALPINDI, Jan 28 (APP):Students participating in the Friends of Police programme on Wednesday visited the Traffic Police Headquarters in Rawalpindi to observe its operations and learn about public service initiatives, a police spokesman said.
In-charge Education Wing Faisal Gilani guided the students through various branches of the headquarters and provided a detailed briefing on the administrative functions of the Traffic Police.
The students appreciated the facilities and services provided by the Traffic Police to the public.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam said the programme was open to all segments of society, particularly students, and encouraged participation to help improve traffic management.
He added that the initiative aimed to strengthen trust between citizens and the police, highlight positive police work, and contribute to a clean and safe society.
“Police and the public are one; we are all part of the same community,” the CTO said. “Through this programme, citizens can actively support better traffic arrangements and civic discipline.”
The spokesman said the Friends of Police programme was part of ongoing efforts to foster closer engagement between law enforcement and the community.
