MULTAN, Jul 27 (APP):Multi-talented students of the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture (MNSUA) captivated the audience with their scintillating performance for over two hours on the opening day of the Mango Festival.
Sufi, African and Punjabi dance performances besides Saraiki Jhoomar and live songs with guitar hypnotized them.
A comic skit of three alumni of the varsity forced the audience to burst into laughter.
After powerful performances, MNSUA VC, Dr Ishtiaq Rajwana appreciated the knack of the students terming them very well versed with performing arts skills.
He said that the varsity had changed the mango exhibition title to mango festival to add to the festivities for the students and faculty alike in the annual event.
The VC lauded the great participation of faculty members’ families despite the harsh and humid weather.
Islamia College University, Dr Muhammad Ali Khan said that he was overwhelmed with everything he observed in the city of saints, especially during the festival.
He praised Multanites hospitality saying that they are very people at heart.
He extolled MNSUA VC, Dr Ishtiaq Rajwana and his team for putting up a very nice show at the festival.
Dr Aman ullah Malik, businessmen, Hassan Raza, Junaid Khokhar and others were in attendance.
A large number of students and faculty members’ families witnessed the event.
